Monfefo was founded by Justine Monsul in 2013 in Brooklyn, NY.
Growing up in New Jersey, Justine's Mother, Ewa, would always make her ginger tea with lemon and honey. She would slice up the root, let it simmer for 30-40 minutes and then add a glop of honey and lots of fresh lemon juice. It was amazing to see how a few simple ingredients can be so healing and nourishing.
With an eternal curiosity for our planet and natural remedies, Monfefo was founded by the beaches of Hawaii with the mission of making a high-quality drink with a purpose and delivering it in a conscious and sustainable way.
Since the beginning, Monfefo's intention has been rooted in crafting conscious products that can elevate people on a significant level. Our beverages are made in small batches with the highest quality organic produce sourced from sustainable farms in Peru, Thailand, and Hawaii. Every element of our process from our ingredients and suppliers to our packaging are guided by our deep rooted values of quality, potency, sustainability, and nourishment.
As a manufacturer in the food industry, it is essential for us to be conscious about our impact on this planet. With that in mind, we offer our beverages in sustainable packaging made up of glass bottles, aluminum closures, and compostable boxes.
